In 2007 I needed some warehouse space for a customer. I did the usual Google searches and didn't come up with anything other than some Commercial Warehouse Agents who had no interest in a medium-term piece of business. I then tried to speak with local haulage companies who I assumed must have some excess space in their warehouses. These were equally difficult but in a different way, they had the underutilised space and were probably looking at it while I was calling but they didn't seem to recognise it as a valuable revenue generating opportunity and to be very honest no one seemed to have a sales or commercial hat on and wanted to sell me the space. Eventually I did find a warehouse operator on a MOD site in Bicester, Oxon that understood he could sell his unused space to us for our customer…
That experience was the birth of WebWarehouse in essence a place on the web to get a warehouse or warehouse space of any kind. Since then I have expanded the network of warehouse operators and businesses with space of any type that could be used to generate some revenue. Meeting them and securing the commercials beforehand so that when the WebWarehouse hot line rings with a lead we can move quickly to provide that enquiry with some options and a solution to their space requirements immediately.
A lot has happened in the middle between 2007 and now but in essence we are still the same, free of charge to the users and an invaluable sales arm to the warehouse operators. We link those with a warehouse space requirement to those with the correct space. I've placed films into sets, stored massive PowerStation parts, found a site for a high street shop to run their eCommerce logistics operations, found space for another retailer for their advert product storage, provided space for a new car launch and nearly set up the tallest racked warehouse in the world!

River Island needed 10,000sq ft of space to run their ecommerce operation from while their fantastic new site was being built at Milton Keynes Magna park. We found them a very secure and standalone warehouse in Milton Keynes to implement their eCommerce operation, which grew sales larger than their biggest physical store.

A. Prices range from £1.00 to £3.50 depending on location and number of pallets to store.
Q. Where is the cheapest place in the UK to store pallets?
A. Generally we find the North East of England has the lowest charges per week for pallet storage.
Q. Do you have any Warehouseing in London?
A. Yes, we have sites in London and within the M25. Prices for this space are at a premium, and we would recommend that you store outside the M25 and bring in stock as it's required.
Q. Can I rent some warehouse space in someone else’s warehouse?
A. Yes, we have hundreds of sites around the UK that operate a ‘shared user’ warehouse space. You can take a much or a little space as you need and use it on a pay as you use basis.
Q. Do I have to pay business rates (business council tax) if I rent space within a shared warehouse?
A. No, unless the terms of the agreement state otherwise.
